Help Us Build the Bathhouse!

The Westford Friends of East Boston Camps have kicked off their latest fundraiser in a big way.
$30,000 Allocated for Bathhouse!
On Monday April 4, 2011, at the request of the Friends and the East Boston Camps Advisory Committee, the Westford Planning Board allocated $30,000.00 from existing mitigation funds towards construction of a new bathhouse on the Camps' property.
The existing bathhouse is in a state of disrepair and a new facility will address the Camps' most urgent need.
"Building this bathhouse is the most important step that can be taken to improve the experience of visitors to the many events that take place at the Camps," according to Denise Brunelle, President of the Friends Board of Directors.
Construction of the new bathhouse is critical to the ongoing use of this property by the public in general and by overnight guests and campers in particular. Fees generated by these uses will permit the East Boston Camps property to be less dependent on Town funds for the costs inherent in maintaining 300 acres of land and 38 buildings.
We need your help!
Become a permanent part of the new bathhouse facility! Purchase a commemorative brick for the walkway leading up to the building.
Engraved on your custom brick could be your family name, a camper's name and date of attendance, your dog's name, your business name, your organization name or you could choose to engrave a brick in honor of someone special or in a loved one's memory. Purchasing a brick is an easy way to leave a lasting family legacy at the camps while helping to pay for the bathhouse.
The bricks are available in two sizes, 4X8 ($100) and 8X8 ($200) and we will try to accommodate your engraving wishes as long as they fit into the boundaries of 18 characters per line.
We hope to have the bathhouse and walkway completed by late Spring 2012.
